Bio
Ronnie Simmons is an Australian transplant singer, guitarist, composer, and producer in Los Angeles, California USA.
Locally, Ronnie is best known for headlining the stage of Whisky A Go Go and Viper Room, to touring the US playing sold-out shows in arenas such as Madison Square Garden.
Worldwide wide he is recognized for his grueling tour schedule. Entertaining crowds from South America to Japan and Europe on guitar with Richie Ramone (The Ramones) and now Faster Pussycat. He has shared the stage touring with international rock legends like Motley Crue, Alice Cooper, Ace Frehley as well as Aussies like The Screaming Jets, Party Boys & Swanee.
Ronnie Simmons is not just the "go-to" rock n roll hired gun. Those who remember his first band LUST and the powerhouse hits from the band The Hots who filled Ontario Arena in California for the LFL halftime show won't be surprised to see his return to recording and producing his next release solo EP called "Cover For Me".
In "Cover For Me", Simmons makes his recording debut as a singer and has chosen 5 diverse songs that shape his musical and personal journey from teen to adulthood, from the pub in Sydney at fifteen to the stages of the world. Covered in Ronnie's signature “to rock to be punk, but too punk to be rock” style, he let us have it with a gut punch vocal and a reminder of why he is the go-to hired gun of LA with his fretwork and more than just a three-chord wonder.
